The book focuses on children ages 0-3, and also on their prenatal development. Topics discussed include the involvement of fathers, weaning, development of movement and language. We should remember that a newborn has a wonderful self-regulating mechanisms that work perfectly and has a strong drive to develop all the components of his human potential harmoniously.

I’m currently reading this book for Infant/Toddler Montessori and I love it. I think it’s easy to read and understand. The author does a good job of explaining the importance of each experience. I’m learning more about child development from this book then I did in my undergrad work for Child Development!
